Sizes: (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL)
Bust circumference: 104 (112) 112 (120) 128 (128) 136 (144) 152 cm [41 (44) 44 (47¼) 50½ (50½) 53½ (56¾) 59¾ inches]
Length: 69 (70) 71 (72) 74 (75) 77 (78) 79 cm [27¼ (27½) 28 (28¼) 29¼ (29½) 30¼ (30¾) 31 inches] measured mid back excl. neck edge

Size guide: Storm Sweater Man is designed to have approx. 10-15 cm [4-6 inches] of positive ease in the smaller sizes and then gradually less positive ease in the larger sizes. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124-132) 132-144 cm [33¾-35¾ (35¾-37¾) 37¾-39¾ (39¾-42¼) 42¼-44½ (44½-46¾) 46¾-48¾ (48¾-52) 52-56¾ inches].

Before beginning your project, measure yourself to determine which size to knit. For example, if you measure 99 cm [39 inches] around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size M. A size M sweater has a bust circumference of 112 cm [44 inches] which in the given example would give you 13 cm [5 inches] of positive ease.

Materials:
400 (400) 400 (400) 400 (500) 500 (500) 500 g Önling No 18, 75% Wool, 25% Polyester (Recycled PET bottles), 100 g = approximately 460 yards (420 m)

You work with 2 strands held together throughout

Gauge:
20 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in texture pattern on 4 mm [US6] needle after wash and blocking

Needles:
Circular needles 4 mm [US6] / 40, 60, 80 and/or 100 cm [16, 24, 32 and/or 40 inches]
Circular needles 3.5 mm [US4] / 40, 80 and/or 100 cm [16, 32 and/or 40 inches]
Double-pointed needles: 4 mm [US6] and 3.5 mm [US4]

Procedure:
The Storm Sweater Man is worked from the top down in a texture pattern. First, the back yoke is worked and shaped using short rows to form the slope of the shoulders. After this, stitches are picked up and knitted for each shoulder, which are then joined to form the front yoke. The front and back yoke are joined to form the body, which is worked straight down in the round. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. A rib edge is worked along the neck, folded double, and knitted down. The Storm Sweater Man is worked in a texture pattern which has four different segments.

Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING

In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:

- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.

- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.

- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
