Knitting kit for Stella scarf by Ruth Sørensen for Önling in Önling No 20
This pattern is specially designed for Önling's advent calendar 2022 by the talented designer Ruth Sørensen. Ruth is the 'indoor world champion' in designing beautiful Fair Isle patterns.
Stella is knitted in Önling No 20 (shetland wool), which as the name suggests comes from Shetland and is made for pattern knitting and not least Fair Isle knitting. Stella is worked in the round with 8 colors and the scarf is thus double - i.e. you get a warm and thick scarf, intended for outdoor use. There are traditional fair isle borders across the scarf.
Here we have pre-defined five different color combinations for the kit - se pictures with color themes above - or you can choose your very own colors.
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. Gauge: 27 stitches x 30 rounds = 10x10 cm / 4x4 inches in Fair Isle pattern on needle size 3 mm / US 2.5
Procedure: The scarf is knitted in the round in fair isle pattern

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
