Knitting kit for Esmeralda Sweater by Katrine Hannibal
Esmeralda is a comfortable, basic raglan sweater featuring simple, fine garter stitch details and a slight oversize fit (approx. 15-25 cm / 6-10 inches of positive ease). Esmeralda is the second sweater in a series of raglan sweaters that Katrine Hannibal has designed in order to achieve the perfect fit. This one is worked in our delicious Shetland wool combined with Silk Mohair, and the result is a warm, soft, and no-frills sweater that you can use for many occassions. Work it in your favorite color to get a new favorite sweater.
The knitting kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and a digital pattern in English.
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. Gauge:
18 sts and 26 rows in stockinette sts on ndl no 5 = 10 x 10 cm
Procedure: The sweater is worked top down in the round. Stitches are cast on using provisional, crochet cast-on to allow adjusting the size of the neck opening before working the neck hem. Short rows are worked over shoulders and back of the neck to make the sweater higher at the back. The yoke is worked with raglan increases. The yoke stitches are then separated into sleeves and body, which are individually finished. The sleeves are worked in the round. After trying on the sweater for size, the provisional cast-on is unraveled before the neck hem is worked

- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
