Knitting kit for Holiday Sweater from PetiteKnit, Önling No 12 everyday yarn + Önling No 10 silk mohair
The Holiday Sweater is knit seamlessly from the top down with raglan increases. The sweater begins at the neckline, which is shaped by knitting back and forth with increases on either side. From there on, the sweater is knit in the round.
The sleeves are extra wide towards the hands and are finished with a closefitting rib (balloon sleeves). The sleeves are knit in the round with the Magic Loop technique.
At the end, stitches are picked up for the neckband, which is knit with both decreases and increases to ensure a neat finish.
PLEASE NOTE: With this yarn kit you get a sweater with a 'looser' look than the one shown in the picture. It is not quite as chunky and firm as when knitted in the original yarn.

The Holiday Sweater should have 15-20 cm positive ease

Gauge:10 sts x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 10 mm needles after blocking
Worked with four threads throughout.
Suggested needle size:10 mm (60 and 80 cm) circular needles, 9 mm / 80 cm circular needles, 7 mm / 40 cm circular needles, 7 mm double pointed needles (dpns)
Materials:
This kit does not contain the original yarn used by PetiteKnit, but carefully selected yarn that matches the gauge. PLEASE NOTE:With this yarn kit you get a sweater with a 'looser' look than the one shown in the picture. It is not quite as chunky and firm as when knitted in the original yarn.

Washing instructions:
Our Önling No 12 yarn has not been pre-washed when you get the cones. You will get the best result by soaking the finished sweater in lukewarm water for approx. 2 hours and subsequently washing it gently using wool wash, either by hand or in your washing machine using its wool program. Dry it by laying it flat on a dry towel.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
